Mr. Ashutosh Pandey is an MBA from FMS Delhi and holds a BE (Civil Engineering) degree, BIT Sindri. He joined as CEO & MD of MFCWL in July, 2018. He has over two decades of experience in leadership roles across E-commerce, Retail and Functional roles in diverse industries. He spends a lot of his time reading, occasionally writing, and is passionate about causes related to special children and environment.
Prior to joining the Mahindra Group, Mr. Ashutosh was working as a Chief Executive Officer of Tata Unistore Limited, he was responsible for development of the awardwinning digital commerce venture of the Tata Group from October 2014 to June 2018.
Mr. Pandey was working as the COO of Landmark from 2008 to 2014 and was responsible for turnaround of the retail format in the face of internal inefficiencies (stockholding, quality of real estate, systems) and external headwinds (digitization).
He was working as a GM – Development for Taj Hotels between 2006 to 2008 and was responsible for identifying and developing new properties, renovating and refurbishing hotels and developing new hotel formats.
As a manager he joined Accenture Consulting between 2005 to 2006 and was responsible for the post-merger integration of India’s top-2 spirit companies, with specific responsibility for Marketing, HR, Manufacturing and Strategy functions.
Some of his prior stints were at Tata Communications (2004-2005) – launched Calling Cards and Calling Service in US, UK and India and Marketing of VSNL Lanka, a subsidiary. He led the marketing function at Rallis (2001-2004). At Tata Tea (1999-2001) he was the First Brand Manager of Tetley India. And at Tata Services (1998-1999) he worked as Tata Administrative Services (TAS) officer.
He is based in Mumbai and stays with his wife Aparna and two daughters Shriya (12 years) and Shraddha (10 years).
